Join us for a fun and informal workshop about upcoming developments for governance on the Cardano blockchain. CIP-1694 proposes mechanisms for how Cardano enters its “Voltaire” era of decentralized governance and there are still some unanswered questions.
We’ll begin with a workshop and lunch hosted at the Monterey Marriott from 12pm (noon) to about 4pm followed by an afternoon catamaran cruise by Sail Monterey to reflect and dive deeper into topics of discussion from 4:30 – 6:30pm.
Lunch will be provided for attendees during the landside segment of the workshop and drinks and charcuterie will be provided during the cruise.
Topics of discussion will include: What deposits or fees should exist for on-chain actions such as registering as a voting representative or submitting a governance action?, What community tooling is necessary to facilitate blockchain governance?, Should there be limits on the frequency or amount of withdrawals to protect the Cardano treasury?
